SAFETY AND SECURITY DIRECTORATE

 

MANAGER: LICENSING SERVICES

(TRAFFIC AND LICENSING SERVICES)

POSITION CODE: 190081

TASK Grade 14 (R457 404 – R635 916 per annum)

(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

 

Qualifications and experience required:

 

·        Relevant three-year tertiary qualification.

·        Job applicants must preferably have the following qualifications:

                   (i)       Diploma – Examiner of Driving Licence Grade A.

                  (ii)       Diploma – Examiner of Vehicles Grade A.

·        Computer literacy – Office applications.

·        Valid Code B driver’s license.

·        Five years’ relevant management experience

 

Key attributes and competencies:

 

·         - Communication and analytical skills.

·         -  Management and report-writing skills.

·         -  Investigation and productivity report skills.

·         -  Inspection, checking, verification, auditing, assessing and testing skills.

·         - No pending criminal case/previous criminal conviction.

 

Job purpose:

 

Managing the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting sequences of outcomes associated with plans and procedural applications designed to accomplish key service delivery objectives with respect to the provisions of a vehicle testing and licensing service through the co-ordination of operations and quality systems and approval/certification process in accordance with statutory legislation regulating Road Safety.

 

 

As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
