 The Council has received the following land related applications:

·         ERF 3937, UITENHAGE (1 CANNON STREET) (CF45/03937) (FN):

(i)   Town Planning Amendment (TPA 9457): Amendment to Uitenhage Zoning Scheme by the rezoning of Erf 3937, Uitenhage from Business to General Subzone 1 purposes to allow two residential units on the ground floor level.

(ii)  Zoning Scheme Departure (ZSD 4731): Departure from the 261 m² restriction to 1000 m² that is required for General Residential Subzone 1.

SALE OF LAND

TWO OR MORE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED I.R.O. THE FOLLOWING ERVEN

 ·        ERF 456, NEW BRIGHTON (SITUATE AT LIBERTAS ROAD) (CF16/00456) (Ref. 114)

The NMBM is considering selling the above property to the owner of an abutting property, subject to the consolidation of the said property with Erf 83, New Brighton.

·         ERF 50639, IBHAYI (SITUATE AT BOOI STREET, ZWIDE) (CF41/50639) (Ref. 111)

The NMBM is considering selling the above property to the current occupant thereof.

 Any interested parties are required to express their interest in such sale or their objections thereto, in writing, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the description "Purchase of Erf 456, New Brighton" or "Purchase of Erf 50639, Ibhayi", which must be delivered to Properties and Planning Administration, second floor, Lillian Diedericks building, Govan Mbeki Avenue, Port Elizabeth by not later than 16:30 on 19 August 2019.

 Any sale to be concluded shall be subject to the provisions of the Local Government : Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, the NMBM Preferential Procurement Policy (as amended), the NMBM Policy for the Disposal of Immovable Capital Assets, incorporating the NMBM Land Sales Directives (as amended) and the evaluation and adjudication criteria stated therein.
